General Information

The London CT Academy was founded in 2015 with the sole aim to provide expert level cardiac CT training to those seeking to further their experience in this imaging modality. It developed from a desire to create a new style of premier CT Academy which placed the emphasis on the learner and novel teaching methods. The underlying ethos of the course is to deliver teaching in an informative and interactive manner to enhance the learning experience for our delegates. For this reason, the London CT Academy was the first in the world to offer a Level 1 online CT course to all delegates as pre-course material prior to attending the on-site Level II Academy. This introduction enabled the delegates to spend more time on the workstations and to maximize their experience and learning from the on-site expert faculty.

Faculty members are carefully selected from around the world for not only their clinical experience in cardiac CT, but also their skills in teaching. The faculty members are Level III cardiac CT practitioners with a combined peer reviewed publication record of in excess of 400 manuscripts. Our faculty members have contributed to the new EAVCI Cardiac CT board examination and sit on various committees of the SCCT and ESC. This varied faculty enables delegates to learn from unrivalled experts from different hospitals and institutes from around the world.

The Academy is a non-profit making course with all revenue being passed on to a registered charity whose aim is to enhance training and further the field of cardiac imaging through research. Revenue generated from the course is used to refine and enhance future courses based upon delegate feedback and to provide the best facilities and learning material possible for our Academy attendees.

Academy bookings

The London CT Academy is now the largest and most successful cardiac CT training Academy of its kind in Europe. Owing to the high demand for places, confirmation of a place in the academy can only be granted once full payment has been received. The places are strictly on a first-come basis. Once payment is received an email will be sent confirming your place in the academy.

Cost

The rate for Cardiac CT Academy for Trainees (with confirmation letter from your clinical Director) is £2500

The non-trainee rate for the Cardiac CT Academy is £2700

This fee includes attendance at the on-site academy that you have registered for. All catering and refreshments whilst at the academy, an individual cardiac CT workstation for the duration of the academy, learning materials, log books, USB drives of key important papers, certificates, course drinks reception, and course dinner along with access to the Medmastery educational website for a minimum of 2 months to obtain access to the pre-course material. The access to Medmastery also enables complete access to the other courses available on their website during the complimentary registration period. This fee does not include accommodation whilst in London or meals outside of the course’s operating hours. All rates are non-negotiable.

Cancellation policy

Owing to unforeseen circumstances once you have registered and paid the course fees, you may find that you are no longer able to attend the academy. In such an instance it is important to contact us immediately. A full refund will be provided to you provided that the cancellation is made at least 2 months in advance of the course. For cancellations 14 days -2 months a 100 pounds administration fee would be deducted from the payment prior to a refund. For cancellations within 2 weeks of the course start date, we are unfortunately unable to provide any refund owing to difficulties in filling the vacant space at short notice.

The maximum number of attendees the course is 30 delegates. In the unforeseen situation where we not achieved a minimum number of registrations to cover the costs of the academy, it will be cancelled. All participants that have registered will be contacted and refunded the full cost of the course.
